Quote for the day!

This quote kept me motivated many days during grad school and it keeps me going still!

"The heights by great men reached and kept, were not obtained by sudden flight. But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night." - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Other Longfellow quotes that keep me motivated as I build my real estate business are:

"Perseverance is a great element of success. If you only knock long enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody."

"The talent of success is nothing more than doing what you can do well, and doing well whatever you do without thought of fame. If it comes at all it will come because it is deserved, not because it is sought after."

Wishing you a wonderful day.

Hi Dr, Stacey-Ann,,,

Those are nice thoughts from one of my favorites as well!

Stacey, these are all great quotes and I was pleasantly surprised to see you list:

"The heights by great men reached and kept, were not obtained by sudden flight. But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night."

as one of your favorites.  I've memorized it for years and yes it keeps me motivated when things get tough...when I was tired and would rather sleep than continue to work into the night.  I think Longfellow has touched many, many lives in a very positive way.

Stacey, I was deciding which to read first this morning, the Wall Street Journal or AR blogs. I'm glad I chose the blogs, those words will help motivate all the rest. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Richard - It's hard not to be inspired by these

Nick - This was my mantra as I was writing my dissertation

Larry - you can bookmark it to show it her when the need arises :-)

Darren - It's always nice to have something new that causes us to ponder

Greg - I'm glad you came by too.  Hope you have a great rest of the day
