Thanks to the horrible and incredibly wet Winter that we had, the DC area is "enjoying" some of the highest pollen counts the area has ever seen. What does that mean? It means that everyone who is unlucky enough to have seasonal allergies is really suffering.
In my house, there is an endless chorus of sneezing, nose blowing, coughing, and people yelling "Where are the eye drops?" We have been hiding out inside the house for the past week. We turned on the AC so we didn't have to open the windows and have tried to stop the kids from playing outside.
It almost feels like cruelty to tell kids that they can't go outside and enjoy this glorious weather. I gave in today and the kids went to play golf with their dad. I shudder to think what everyone is going to sound and look like when they get home.
Let's hope that since the pollen is so plentiful so early that this will be a short season and we can all go back to enjoying the warm weather that we have craved all Winter.

FINALLY! A DOCTOR WHO MAKES HOUSE-CALLS!
Information deemed reliable but not guaranteed!

Well, there aren't too many options considering we all need to breathe ;-) For most of us we just have to ride it out and hope it passes quickly.
My SILVER car looks GOLD there is so much pollen on it!!! I've stocked up on kleenex!!! for Home, Office & Car
I've heard it should be a shorter season Stacey-Ann, hang in there. We haven't had it here yet but it will come.
Hi Stacey-Ann - I've been amazed by how much pollen is out around here. I too have a silver car covered in gold. They've stuck a big box of Kleenex on the front desk in my office - I grabbed several on my out to stash in the car - tis the season.
