Lower Marlboro, MD

Although I have lived in Upper Marlboro, MD for the past 2 years I had no idea until this week that there was a town in Maryland called Lower Marlboro.

Lower Marlboro is located about 15 miles south of Upper Marlboro in Calvert County.

Lower Marlboro is an unicorporated town located on the banks of the Patuxent River.  Lower Marlboro was originally known as Coxtown and is one of the earliest towns in Maryland.  There are several historic homes still present in the town.

I am going to check this town out to see what else I can learn about it.
