I have google alerts set-up with my name. Yesterday I got an alert saying that a tweet was posted by me about Brentwood, CA. Clearly I know nothing about Brentwood. Anyway, when I go to my twitter page there is no evidence of this tweet but this is the third or fourth time that I have gotten such an alert. I've copied the 2 most recent alerts below:

Does anyone know how someone could hack into my twitter account and post things but without it showing up on my tweet roll or in my follower's rolls?
I only use twitter to automatically post my AR blogs and my updates from my business and charity pages on facebook. I am quite perplexed as to what is going on.

FINALLY! A DOCTOR WHO MAKES HOUSE-CALLS!
Information deemed reliable but not guaranteed!

I cannot assist you, but I have bookmarked this to refer to later. And, I wish you luck in finding the answer.
Stacey, check and make sure it just not someone that has a close spelling of your name. I have a number of google alerts and I get notifications that are not mine, but on closer investigation the spelling is one letter off etc. I usually check to see if someone out there has a name closely related to what my alert is set up for. It is always a legit person etc.....hope that is all that it is
Don - Thanks, i've been researching on twitter
Gerry - It's definitely me, same user name and same first name, middle initial & last name. I changed my username, profile name, & password on twitter. I also deleted all third party applications. We'll see if this helps.
Make your password longer and include letters and numbers!
I wish I knew! That's very strange. Does it link to your website?
