Buying School Uniforms in PG County, MD

Many of the Prince George's County Public Schools require their students to purchase and wear a uniform daily.  Each school will have specific uniform requirements.

When it's time to buy the uniform parents can sometimes feel overwhelmed.  In PG County, uniforms are sold in many of the major department stores including:

  • K-Mart
  • Kohls
  • JC Penney
  • Sears
  • Target
  • Walmart
In addition to the department stores, there are many specialty uniform stores throughout the county:
Though school uniforms can initially feel expensive to purchase they are usually a much more cost effective way to outfit your children for the entire school year.

I honestly wish all schools would have uniforms.  This would prevent a lot of the disparity of clothing in schools and get kids concentrating on school rather that who is wearing what :).  Most of the elementary and middle schools here in San Antonio have either uniforms or a dress code that must be followed so it isn't too bad.  This is great info for folks in your area that need to get school uniforms :)!

I am so jealous. Baltimore County needs to have school uniforms. It makes so much more sense and the kids look great. It eliminates peer pressure.
