Meet Simba!

A couple weeks ago I mentioned that I had agreed to get a dog.  I am not a dog person so the idea was a very difficult one for me.  However, they say you'll do anything for the ones you love - this is an example of that.  My kids and husband all really wanted a dog.

This week my husband arrived home from work with a puppy.  He is a Morkie (a Maltese and Yorkie mix) and shouldn't be a very large dog.  The kids had no idea that we were considering this so they were stunned and excited.

At first my daughter wanted to name him Bear.  Then we decided it should be an S name since everyone else in the family has an S name (Stefan, Stacey, Sydney, & Sebastian).

After mulling over a few choices - Simba was the winner!

It's definitely taken some getting used to.  He's peeing and pooping everywhere but where he is supposed to be but everyone is enjoying him.

I am slowly warming more and more to the idea of having him around.

Stacy-Ann:  Simba looks like a really cute little puppy.  It's funny, but the only other animal I have ever heard named Simba was an elephant.  I think Simba the Morkie will work out much better for you.  Have fun!

Hi Stacy - beautiful addition to the family. Simba is adorable. Great selection on the name, it reminds me of Simba from the Lion King.

Stacey, I have a Simba living next door to me...I think it's the same breed and he does like to bark.  Anyway, it's amazing how these four legged friends of ours can become a large part of our lives.  I had two Dalmatians (brothers) no longer with me, but they made a big impact on my life an will never be forgotten.  Have fun with that "peeing and pooping" thing!
