I just turned on the television to hear that Tim Russert died suddenly today. I am so shocked! As a news junkie you really begin to feel like you know the people on TV. Its really an amazing thing to think that someone can appear young and healthy one minute and be gone the next. I guess the lesson here is to live each day to its fullest, appreciate what (and who) you have and don't forget to tell the people you love how important they are to you. You never know when a conversation will be your last so make it count.
Have a safe weekend!

Stacey-Ann, I was shocked, too. I liked him very much.
Stacey-Ann, I didn't know this, thanks for letting us all know. We watch him every Sunday.
He was such a gentleman... .I regret to say the only time I saw him (and the last time). . .was in the man's bathroom at Reagan National Airport
I was so surprised to see him there , all I could say. . Hi. . I watch you every Sunday,, he smiled, zip up saying thank you and left . .
My Sundays aren't going to be the same. .
Stacey - Very tragic and sound. He seemed like such a great and kind man. He will be missed I am sure. I did enjoy his commentaries on NBC as well.
Have a great weekend.
Terrie
Just saw this online and very sad about it. So young too.
What was the saddest part about this for me was the letter he wrote to his son. It was about how proud Tim was of him and how he would be there for him "no matter what". His son must be torn apart to lose such a great dad so suddenly. It's horrible that such a great dad lost his life at such a young age.
Great post!
- Dennis
Dennis - I wasn't aware of the letter to his son, but his dad must be struggling with all this too.
Fernando - Great story
Marzena, Mary, Terrie, Kelly - Being here in DC, its amazing how much its hit this community. He was the boss for all the people who read the news that I watch faithfully (NBC-4) and you cna see the strain on all of them. So sad!
I feel the same as all others who have commented. Life is short, enjoy it.
