The Wall Street Journal announced its list of the Top 10 best male athletes.
- Roman Sebrle - decathlete
- Lebron James - basketball
- Floyd Mayweather - boxer
- LaDanian Tomlinson - football
- Roger Federer - tennis
- Sidney Crosby - hockey
- Liu Xiang - hurdler
- Jeremy Wariner - 400 meters
- Ronaldo de Assis Moreira - soccer
- Alex Rodriguez - baseball
What do you think of this list? Who do you think should have been on there who isn't?
I think Tiger Woods deserves a mention or some of those 100m runners like Usain Bolt who just broke the World Record.

FINALLY! A DOCTOR WHO MAKES HOUSE-CALLS!
Information deemed reliable but not guaranteed!

Stacey-Ann, I agree with you that Tiger Wood should definitely be there. This must be current athletes because I still consider MJ my all time favorite basketball payer.
Whoever comes up with any type of list of the top athletes today and doesn't have Tiger as #1 just proves they have no business compiling such a list. Unless their goal was comic relief. If so, then why not put Bob Uecker at the top of the list.
Hans & James - my husband just ditched the list when he realized Tiger wasn't #1. I would tihnk someone like Lance Armstrong might be on there as well.
I must say Hockey players are some of the toughest. I guess it depends on what they mean by top 100 - best at what they do, looks, how overall fit they are, how well rounded they are, who knows, very subjective.
I know this is going to be grossly unpopular, but golfers are not athletes. That is not to say atheletes can't be golfers. When I think golf, I think John Daly. Could any of the guys on that list perform with a cigarette in their mouth? Drink a six pack and perform? I think Jeremy Warner would have a hard time keeping his cigarette lit during his Olympic heats.
In all fairness to Wall Street, they were probably looking at the combination of endurance, speed, cardio capacity, and ability. Tiger has amazing hand eye coordination (ability), but the other aspects are unknown. Lance Armstrong has amazing cardio capacity, but he may not be able to catch a cold.
