We really love our new home and neighborhood however, there are so many little things about a new community that we didn't consider. The most annoying by far has been the lack of mail delivery. The post office has not issued that extra four digit code that follows the zip code for this area yet so they don't deliver mail. I asked the woman when it would be and she said "It will probably be a minute". How long is that exactly?
Initially I didn't think it would be a problem because I saw the mail truck in here. However, I have since been informed that my side of the road is not being delivered yet. So I have to drive to the post office everyday to pick up my mail even though I watch the mail truck drive by my house every day to deliver mail on the other side of the street.
There has got to be a better way!

I would be complaining to the post office every day and I would get the neighbors to complain too. Who has time to go wait in the line at the post office where they work slower than at dmv.

I don't think that I have ever heard of that before. No mail delivery? Wow, the things you don't know!
Maria - Believe me, I don't have the time to stand in that line (at least they've been pleasant so far).
Richard - I had never heard of it either.
Stacey-Ann this is also new to me, what a pain in the donkey it must be to the Post Office everyday, especially since the mail truck is driving right by your house.
Did you ever find out how long a "minute" is? You've got me curious. :) I hope you get your mail delivered to you soon. That can be VERY inconvenient! :)

Maybe a minute is 60 days? But seriously, that's new to me too. I'll have to stop complaining about my cell phone chatterbox carrier. She's always late, and I still don't believe she comes everyday, but at least she comes...eventually.
Oh my Stacey.... put up a mail box on the other side of the street. I see this in Kentucky all the time.
