Synopsis – The Other Couple
It was supposed to be the perfect weekend. Just you, me… and my chance at revenge. Until they arrived…
The fire crackles gently in the grate as my partner Finn fills my glass with red wine. Looking into his sparkling blue eyes, I feel a tug on my heart. Finn is my boss, and no one can know how hard we’ve fallen for each other. We thought this lighthouse keeper’s cottage on the wild Irish coast would be the perfect secret getaway. Then there’s a knock at the door…
A rain-soaked couple tell us that they’ve booked the house for the weekend too. I look to Finn, but he steps aside to let them in. I stiffen. This trip isn’t just a chance for Finn and me to fall deeper in love. Nobody can know the real reason we’re here. My life is hanging by a thread. I have no choice but to welcome the couple with open arms, offer them a drink, and tell them we’ll have this all sorted out by the morning.
Finn doesn’t know the real me, but it seems I don’t know him either.
This other couple is here for a reason, and one of us won’t be leaving this place alive…
An absolutely gripping rollercoaster of a psychological thriller, packed with twist after twist. Perfect for fans of Claire McGowan, Freida McFadden and The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose.

My Review
The premise of The Other Couple drew me in immediately. The setting of the novel, a lighthouse in rural Ireland, is very eerie. I found myself wondering why anyone would want to rent it as a weekend getaway.
At time the story felt a bit slow though it did keep me curious as to what would be the connection between the characters and the final outcome. I wanted to keep reading to see how the story would all come together.
The main characters are not overly likeable and this is one of those book where you immediately feel that no one is as they seem to be.
Overall, this is a quick read. If you are a fan of psychological thrillers you should definitely give this one a try.
