The Great Race – Book 1 by Sun Chara
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The Great Race is a cute children’s story that features a retelling of the well known “Tortoise and the Hare”. This book involves a dad reading a story to his children.
The book is broken down into short chapters so that it can be read over a series of sittings.
The illustrations are eye-catching and help to tell the story.
Challenging vocabulary is used and highlighted to help children become familiar with lesser known words. There is even a word game included at the end of the book.
Overall, this is a fun story that is sure to delight children and their parents.
