I read another book by this author earlier this year so I was excited to read this one. Her Daughter’s Lies is the 3rd book in a a series. It can definitely be read as a standalone but maybe some of the characters would have been clearer if I had read the earlier books.
This story is told in multiple POVs which is sometimes distracting. For me, there were way too many characters that were difficult to keep straight at times.
This is a fast read because of the shorter chapters but I didn’t feel as though the story itself was as engaging as I was hoping for. The ending was on a cliff hangar teasing a presumed book 4 in the series.
I will happily read more by this author in the future but this one didn’t wow me. However, if you like Psyc thrillers and especially if you like series then I’d give the Bailey family series a go.
