Author Bio

Olivia Lockhart (Livvie to her friends) is an English author who can’t quite decide if she wants to write contemporary romance or paranormal romance. Either way, it HAS to be romance.

She loves to write about the underdog, the one who got away, the bits of love stories we can all relate to.

When not writing she can be found drinking wine, cuddling her beloved pooch or with her head buried in a book.

My Review

Lily, Unwritten by Olivia Lockhart

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 stars.

Lily Unwritten is the sequel to Olivia Lockhart’s earlier book “For the Love of Lily“. I personally think if you had not read that one then some of the character’s actions in this one would not make much sense.

In Book #1 Lily was struggling between choosing her boyfriend Zack and her best friend who declares his love for her, Luke.

In Book #2 Lily has made her choice (or maybe had the choice made for her). She is preparing to make her life with one but cannot get the other out of her mind. I found Lily exasperating at times. She seemed to play the victim wondering why her person was jealous while forgetting all her actions that made them that way.

During the second half of the book I liked Lily better. She seemed to grow and hopefully truly understand how her own behavior was contributing to where she found herself in life.

There is some spice but it is not overly graphic. I found book #1 to be sexier than this one.

Overall, there is resolution and a feel good ending for everyone so if you like romance books with a happy ending then you should defintiely give the Lily series a go!
